Judges and Mentors
For the past 30 years, subject matter
experts in the community and at College of DuPage have served as
judge and mentor volunteers for ACT-SO (Afro-Academic, Cultural,
Technological and Scientific Olympics. ACT-SO is a mentoring
program for African American high school students that
culminates in local and national academic competitions and
scholarship awards. The College of DuPage co-sponsors the
program with the DuPage County Branch NAACP. Mentors are
experts in the community who work with one or more students on
their projects for at least several months.
